First blog in a looooong time! Let's get cracking!
I'm just gonna go back to the old roots for a bit and make this blog a little personal. MySims coming back with Cozy Bundle out of the blue is so needed by me right now. Just within the past few months I've watched my mom move into a health facility, my mental AND physical heath reach new lows, (accidentally?) applied for online college, and — more lightheartedly — other nostalgic things come back here and there. Like Etnies! But MySims finally coming back just feels like a saving grace for the past....entire year? Like full-12-months-last-August year?? I remember being SO sad last August (I'm a big Mario fan....lol iykyk)
So, aside from getting materials for the wiki, I got the urge to play a bit again! I've had the MySims PC disc probably since launch, but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere. Grahhhh! So I finally gave in and bought it on the EA app. (I was also a little curious since they still mention the online....Had a little too much hope there.) So I start building my house on a new file, one of the tracks comes on....and I'm borderline tears. I was so young, man.....I was 12 first hearing that song........
Anyway, I managed to transfer my old MySims Kingdom save data from my Wii to Dolphin a day or 2 ago, so I could get more materials for the wiki (since I got 100% back in the day)....and apparently today was exactly 14 years since the last save!!!!
I am officially old.
Well, wrapping up, today was Labor Day and work actually didn't have me scheduled today lol (good luck to my coworkers....yesterday was horrible). I didn't wanna bug any other retail workers, so I stayed home all day! My only purchase was MySims....just wrapping my head around the series coming back and reviving the wiki as an admin and school starting for the first time in 10 years and the "incredible" world of healthcare. Ah, life really is so much more complicated than in highschool! Hoping I can tackle it all without losing my mind!!
