MySims Wiki

The MySims games were a major part of my childhood. I used to play them all the time when I was a kid, and I'm extremely familiar with the whole series. It warms my heart that people still remember them. Now that I'm older, I realized something interesting about them that could be possible. That theory being: what if all MySims games take place in the same universe? This is like the Pixar theory, but for MySims. I'm probably overthinking a series of kids' games, but it's still interesting to think about. Keep in mind that this is just for MySims, and is separate from The Sims, which it was based off of, but we'll get to that. This will also focus primarily on the Wii games, as I'm much more familiar with them than I am with the DS games. Without further ado, let's break it down:

Warning: This discussion contains spoilers, if you haven't played the games yet.

So first of all, the games don't actually take place in chronological order. MySims Party and MySims Racing don't have much of a story, and could be considered non-canon. But for the sake of this theory, it would probably make more sense to say that they are. These games take place first in the series, presumably in two different towns, but around the same time. These towns feature some of the same characters, as they are probably close to each other. This was around the time where the Essence Master still lived happily among sims, and used his or her magic to build homes, furniture, and other things for people in need. The Essence Master was not from either of these towns, though. That leads into the next game.

The third game to take place in the series is the original, MySims. The Essence Master lived in this town of your naming during the time of Party and Racing, but then vanished for unknown reasons. The town of the original MySims is special. It's a unique town, not just because it had a person with the ability to control essences, but because the town itself is in a remote area that spans the land of a grassy meadow, a forest, a desert, and a beach, and it also appears to be very remote, as there are no roads for it to be accessible by car. You can most likely only get to the town via the train. The town depended on the Essence Master, as when he/she disappeared, it began to die. Sims moved away and a lot of buildings were torn down, not to mention that the forest and desert lost their accessibility to the public. When your character arrives in the town, you begin to revitalize the town with your abilities to control the essences, as you are also an Essence Master. The Essence Master could be like the Avatar in A:TLA to the world of MySims in that they have magical abilities that they use to unite their people. But unlike in Avatar, there can be multiple Essence Masters at the same time, as they are not born into the cycle of reincarnation that Avatar follows. We may never know for sure what happened to the last Essence Master, but we know that the town in the original MySims is dependent on having an Essence Master so that their community can thrive.

The next game that takes place in the series, probably about 1 or 2 years later, is MySims Agents. The main character of this game could be the same sim as the one in the previous game or it could be a different person entirely, depending on the player's choice. But in this game, they are not the Essence Master. There is not very much construction in this game, and when you can decorate your headquarters, it's by means of technology and not magic, by using the F-Space Manipulator. This could mean that the character either lost their abilities somehow or never had them at all. But more likely it's the former, as many of the same characters appear in this game. They must have been chased out of their town somehow, and there's only one logical reason why: It was taken over by Morcucorp. Morcubus is shown very clearly to be the biggest villain of the entire series. How exactly he rose to power is unclear, but once he did, he became an unstoppable force. He may have taken the magic from the Essence Master in the first place and used it for his own personal gain, thus taking permanent control over many towns, including the ones from MySims Party, Racing, and the original. Because of this, many of the characters were chased out of that town and were forced to move to other cities around the world. Buddy lost his job as a bellhop and became a detective. Gino opened a new pizza shop in the city. Rosalyn became a secret agent in the mountains. Patrick became a construction worker. (Poppy is portrayed like a little girl in MySims Agents, but I don't think that she is. Even in the original game, she was always a childlike adult.) Because of Morcucorp, the SPA (Sim Protection Agency) was founded. Your character is tasked with stopping Morcubus and bringing back harmony to the world.

Then, at the end of Agents, Morcubus seizes artifact known as the Crown of Nightmares, and gets sucked into its dimension along with Evelyn. The Crown of Nightmares is now in the possession of the SPA, where it will never cause anyone harm again. If you play all of the Dispatch Missions, you unlock the final mission where you are allowed to free Evelyn from the nightmare dimension, but this also brings Morcubus with her. You have the option of not freeing them, but canonically, the next two games could not happen unless you did.

The next game that takes place is MySims SkyHeroes. This game takes place possibly a decade after the events of Agents, where Morcubus' reign has strengthened, and he has started a new organization called the Chaos Pirates. He has now taken control of the skies. The SPA is not featured in this game, as there is a different organization fighting Morcubus this time: the SkyForce. At the end of the game, the Morcufortress is destroyed and the Chaos Pirates are captured... but it doesn't end there!

The last game that takes place in the series is MySims Kingdom. Yes, while SkyHeroes was the last game to be released, THIS game actually takes place last chronologically. In this game, when you give Vic the "Battle Suit Roland" figurine, he explains that "it was made to commemorate the great disaster that followed when Dr. F made King Roland a robotic battle suit to help him defend the kingdom and how it went out of control, accidentally blowing up half of Capital Island. He also adds that King Roland has been obsessed with cupcakes since the incident and how no one is sure if it is because of faulty Dr. F science, or a mere coincidence." This robot suit blew up half of the island, and I can assume it was probably more than that. Dr. F in the world of MySims is a highly prolific, world-renowned mad scientist. My theory is that he gave a lot of people robot suits to help them protect themselves from the Chaos Pirates and Morcucorp from the previous games. But these robot suits were extremely powerful, and with great power comes great responsibility, something that many sims don't have. That, crossed with a lot of Dr. F's other technology that he created with Alexa and other mad scientists proved to be too much to handle. This caused many major cities to be blown up during the events of SkyHeroes. After the major war with Morcucorp and SkyForce, crossed with Dr. F's technology getting out of hand, the world was forever altered. Major continents were all broken up into small islands. Only a few sims remained, which is why there aren't very many living on each island. You could say that a lot of them died, but if that's too dark, you could also suppose that many of the characters who don't appear in MySims Kingdom just live on other islands that don't appear in the game. Either way, this is how the kingdom of MySims Kingdom was formed. It appears to be set in a fantasy world, but it's actually more post-apocalyptic like in Adventure Time. Roland existed in MySims Racing, so he had a life before he became the king of this new post-apocalyptic world. But he was chosen to be the king due to his strong leadership skills and his ability to stand up to Morcubus.

In MySims Kingdom, space travel exists, as evident when you travel to Rocket Reef. Airplanes presumably also exist, but have become extremely unpopular after the tragic events of the last game. The world has been broken up into many islands, so now the most common method of transportation is by boat. This game takes place in the future, when the world is still adjusting to its new form. The idea of the Essence Master has become obsolete, and the magic that the Essence Master once controlled is now controlled by special people known as Wandoliers, which are basically the same as Essence Masters, except they now use the power of a wand to create things and control structures around them. This ability is controlled by your character, who, like with the other games, can be the same character you played as in the other games or someone entirely different depending on your choice. You must use your magic to make the kingdom just as great as the lands that came before it. Many of the characters who appear in this game are now old. Buddy is no longer a bellhop or a secret agent, and he and Lindsey are now explorers. Vic no longer owns an arcade nor is he a secret agent, and he now works at Rocket Reef. Rosalyn is no longer a mayor or a secret agent and is now a professor at the Royal Academy. Though some people are unchanged, such as Dr. F still being a mad scientist and Trevor still being a playwright. Morcubus is still around, but he has lost his power and is no longer a major threat to this world. He is imprisoned on Spookane, which he is not allowed to leave. There are a couple of flaws to this theory, though: on the Royal Academy, Chaz, Liberty, Travis, and Summer are supposed to be teenagers or young adults. For the sake of this theory, let's say that they are sons and daughters of their parents who were named after their parents. (Ex. Travis is actually Travis Jr.)

WOW, that was long. Anyway, that's my theory. Keep in mind that this is mostly for the Wii games. The DS or PC versions of the games or The Sims could take place in an alternate timeline or could be connected to the Wii games depending on how you want to look at it. This list is also just me playing around with different ideas and is not meant to be taken very seriously. Let me know what you think below.
