Tasks are requests Commercial Sims give the player to build a piece of furniture for their business. Each task will require a certain amount of essences added to the object they require to complete the task. Commercial Sims will give around 3-4 tasks, except for Mayor Rosalyn, who gives 1 task, and Buddy the Bellhop, who gives none. Some Sims will ask for up to 3 items within the same task. The Star Level meter will go up for each task fulfilled. The first or last task given by every Commercial Sim will require the player to build furniture unique to their business. For example, DJ Candy Supergroove's final task will require a Turntable for her dance club.

Required objects[]

Sims need certain objects at their buildings in order to feel home, although they will not ask the player to use any specific essences. Each Sim needs two of the items and most Sims need to have beds at their houses. Commercial Sims only ask for these as tasks. For example, Poppy needs a bed and a flower stand.

If a Sim is missing one of the two objects, they will say "Oh, [player name], it's horrible! I need a [blueprint name]. Can you get one for me?", and if they're missing both, they'll say: "Hey! I used to have a [blueprint name 1] and a [blueprint name 2]. What happened?" For some reason, there are copies of the second dialogue with increasingly more blueprints up until nine, which gives "Oh I really wish I had a [blueprint name]. My life is empty without [blueprint name]." The reason for this is unknown.

The following Sims will will have none of objects in their homes upon first moving in, or they will have one and ask for a second one, which they will ask the player for.

Required Objects list[]

These Sims will either request the player make them the object, or if the player takes it from their home, they will ask for it back.
