As a young boy, Tad "Flipper" McCaffrey idolized TV's teenage superhero Hydro-Lad. Little Tad would run all over the place in his swimsuit and water wings screaming Hydro-Lad's famous catch phrase: "Time to Hydrate Evil!" He dreamed of a heroic life saving Sims and fighting evil on the great oceans of the world, and now he runs the local pool! Try to forgive him if he seems to take his job a little too seriously!

Appearance

Flipper has pale skin, short bleach blond hair with matching bushy eyebrows, brown oval-shaped eyes without scleras, and a long smirk at the the bottom of his face. He wears sunscreen on his nose, black swim googles over a red and white swim cap, a white tank top, a blue lanyard with a whistle, a red stretcher with a white cross across his body held by a yellow band, orange inflatable armbands, red swim trunks with a white cross, and gray flip flops.

In concept art by Genevieve Tsai, a model sheet by Paul Tanompong, and a promotional image by IGN, Flipper's skin is tan instead of pale.

Trivia

• Flipper is one of six exclusive Commercial Sims in MySims (Switch/PC).
• Flipper was originally supposed to appear in MySims Agents (Wii), but was cut from the game. It is likely he was meant to be the lifeguard at The Boardwalk, but was replaced by Summer upon the final game's release.
  • However, the player can still unlock and wear his outfit.
• Flipper's idol, Hydro-Lad, is a reference to Aqualad from DC Comics.
• The European Portuguese translation wrongly calls Flipper's Create A Building blocks "Blocos de Casa Pobre" (Poor House Blocks) instead of "Pool House Blocks".
• Flipper is the only sim who doesn't use the player's name at all, and instead calls player 'little fish'.
