The Surprise Event occurs in the middle of every festival and is hosted by the Amazing Daryl. It will happen at any random time during a festival and each team member that participated in the previous minigame will draw from 11 random cards. Each card holds a magical property that may hinder or help the players. There are 14 possible card powers total, with only 11 available. 11 of the cards contain good powers, such as raising stats, but 3 other cards contain bad powers, like lowering stats or disqualifying a team member for 3 minigames.

Power Card: Raises power by one
Speed Card: Raises speed by one
Stamina Card: Raises stamina by one
Luck Card: Raises luck by one
Special Card: Raises all stats by one
Accident Card: Lowers all stats by one
Rest Card: A Sim from the team will be out of the festival for 3 minigames
Blank Card: Nothing
Mighty Apple: Maxes out power for one minigame if eaten
Speedy Melon: Maxes out speed for one minigame if eaten
Hearty Grapes: Maxes out stamina for one minigame if eaten
Lucky Lemon: Maxes out luck for one minigame if eaten
Medical Card: Sim is healed of all lost stats
Super Medical Card: Every Sim on the team is healed of all lost stats
