The Star Level is a progression meter found in the top left corner when playing.
At each level you get a new tool, except the last, and new Sims visit Town Hotel.
Effects[]
Most Sims will come to town, once it has reached a certain Star Level. Star Levels can be reached by helping Commercial Sims and by moving in Townie Sims. Rosalyn P. Marshall will automatically be in town due to her mayor status. Also, there will be Buddy, the caretaker of the Town Hotel. Poppy, the sweet florist, and lover of Cute things and flowers, as well as her sister who is the complete opposite and loves all things Spooky and all flowers dead, Violet Nightshade still lives in town. Also, retired truck driver Patrick Rhino will be living in town, hoping for more restaurants to come to town. When player reaches a new Star Level, player can receive blueprints and a tool to break an obstacle to a previously inaccessable area, such as using a pick-axe you receive at Star Level 3 to break a bunch of rocks blocking the entrance to the desert.
Requirements[]
In order to fill up the bar below the stars, player has to earn points. If player complete a task for a Sims, player will get points.
For normal tasks, player gets 100 points. If it's the final task of a Sim, player gets 200 points.

Progression Guide[]
Star Level 1[]
Can be reached by helping Poppy with her flower shop. The Sims that will come to town are Italian pizza chef Chef Gino Delicioso, club owner DJ Candy "Supergroove", and mysterious museum owner Sir Vincent Skullfinder. Player is also given the crowbar to break the entrance to a cave buried with Action Figures and Video Games in the Town Square.
For reaching this Star Level, player will also receive the following blueprints:

- Couch
- Shelf
- Wall Cabinet
Star Level 2[]
Can be reached by helping any Commercial Sims slowly. Bitter librarian Elmira Clamp, snobby clothing-store owner Ms. Nicole Vogue, mysophobic ice-cream parlor owner Roxie Road, and arcade owner Vic Vector will come to town. The Townie Sims who will come to the Town Hotel are Clara Belle, Gordon, Maria, Ray, Rhonda, Roger, and Travis. Rosalyn P. Marshall will also authorize player to use the saw, so player can saw the log that is blocking the entrance to the forest and move more Sims in. The Workshop will earn the second set of blocks.
New blueprints unlocked for reaching this Star Level are:

Star Level 3[]
May bring many Commercial Sims such as sushi-chef Chef Hisao Watanabe, imaginative costume store owner Dolly Dearheart, darkness-loving Goth Boy, martial-arts trainer Master Aran, and hair stylist Shirley. The Townie Sims are Bean Bradley, Jenny, Matt, Raven Wright, Sandra, and Stephen Albright. Rosalyn P. Marshall will now authorize player to use the pickaxe. Player's Sim can destroy some rocks that were blocking some paths in the forest, and the rocks that were blocking the desert entrance and any other rocks to move more Sims in. The Workshop will earn the final set of blocks. The PC version brings exclusive Sims like secretive agent Natalia Roshmanov, pool owner Tad "Flipper" McCaffrey, and aspiring wonder witch Wendalyn.
Reaching this Star Level will earn you the following blueprints:

Star Level 4[]
Brings pretty kooky folks and Commercial Sims such as crazy mad-scientist Dr. F, the pirate Ginny, fortune teller Madame Zoe, space-observer Professor Nova, and dramatic actor Trevor Verily. The Townie Sims are Amelia, Annie Radd, Crystal, Edwin, Gertrude Spackle, Grandma Ruthie, Ian Arneson, Jeremy Snoars, Liberty, Linda, Makoto, Odin Revolution, Pinky, Sasha, and Yuki. Rosalyn P. Marshall will authorize player's Sim to use the blowtorch as well to destroy metal walls that were found in the desert and the forest previously, however, this Star Level will not bring any more blocks to the Workshop. Player can now access the beach and the junkyard in the desert for example, and player can also visit the Knight tree orchard and the Chess Cave near the pond in the Forest. The PC version brings exclusive Commercial Sims like the intelligent robot scientist Alexa Lexington, the true Renaissance girl and café owner Cedella, and the toymaker Terry Toymender.
Star Level 5[]
This Star Level will not bring any more Commercial Sims. The Townie Sims that come are Abigail, Beebee, Billy, Blaine, Brandi, Brendan, Chaz McFreely, Clayton Dander, Eliza, Esma, Iggy, Jimmy Watanabe, Karine, Luis, Morcubus, Noelle, Pablo, Penelope, Renée, Rob Jarrett, Spencer, Summer, Taylor, and Yvette. Right away after receiving this Star Level, player watches a celebration at the Town Hall, with Buddy, Rosalyn P. Marshall, and four of player's Sim's best friends in town (which also happens to be the Credits). Also, player is given the town sculpture blueprint, which will be unlocked in the Workshop. This, when placed, will boost the player up a level on friendship with the Sim they have given it too.
