Shirley

Shirley is a hair stylist and hair expert. She runs several beauty salons, and hopes to help all Sims express themselves with the best hairstyles and loudest colors possible. Shirley also has a twin sister, Ms. Nicole Vogue, who she believes to be quite "snobby." She is also a minigame and festival host.

Appearance

Shirley has tan skin and a large pink beehive hairstyle with a light pink heart on the bottom left above her face. She has brown upturned eyes with eyelashes, purple eyeshadow, and thin black eyebrows with high arches. She also has a small mouth with pink lipstick. Shirley wears a cyan apron with vertical stripes and a pink heart on the bottom right over a leopard print mini dress. She also wears fishnet pantyhose, light pink flats, gold cat eye glasses, a gold beaded necklace, gold bracelets on each of her wrists, and gold earrings. In most games, her earrings are heart-shaped, but they are hoops in MySims Agents.

Trivia

• Shirley is Ms. Nicole Vogue's twin sister and rival, since Shirley thinks hair is more important, while Nicole thinks clothes are more important.
  • In MySims Agents, the player mentions Shirley is Derek's aunt, meaning Nicole could be his mother or his other aunt, which would mean they would have another sibling who is one of Derek's parents.
  • Because of their family relationship with Nicole, it's possible Shirley's and Derek's last name is also Vogue.
• Shirley has Violet Nightshade's voice type in all of her appearances, except MySims Agents, in which she has Lyndsay's voice type.
• Although Shirley is available at Star Level 3, her last task requires Gold and Kissing Fish Essences, which are found at Star Level 4.
• Shirley's salon has a pop-art painting of DJ Candy Supergroove and Faith Connors as a 3 painting set decorative in MySims (Wii/PC).
  • The 3 set painting reappears on the walls of her salon in MySims Agents
• In MySims, Shirley's sunglasses appear in the background during Create a Sim.
• Although Shirley doesn't appear as a character in MySims Kingdom, there is a figurine of her called "Crocodile Shirley", which can be found by fishing near Zombie Carl's swamp on Spookane.
  • Shirley even has concept art for MySims Kingdom, which raises the possibility that she was cut from the game. It hangs on a wall in Shirley's beauty salon in MySims Agents.
• Shirley was unaware that it was Derek who set fire to Chef Gino Delicioso's pizzeria.
