Rocket Reef is an island home to the mad scientist Dr. F and his assistant Alexa Lexington's experiments. T.O.B.O.R. acts as a test dummy until he quits after being literally blown apart and plans to open up his own D.I.N.E.R. Vic Vector,the janitor employed by the two scientists, takes over as the test pilot after some convincing.

Lyndsay: So I've been doing some reading on Rocket Reef…
Apparently the waters there are controlled by a man-made breed of cybernetic superfish. Also, their chief export is Science!

Buddy: Hey Lyndsay, if my hat blew off into the ocean, would you dive in to rescue it?
Lyndsay: Where did THAT come from? Do you even listen to me when I talk?
Buddy: Well, yeah, but not when I'm thinking about hats!
Story[]
Upon entering the island, the Royal Wandolier, Buddy, and Lyndsay notice there is no one here. It is a weird, gloomy sci-fi type island. After a loud explosion, the group runs to the noise, where they will meet Dr. F, a crazy mad scientist, Alexa Lexington, his well-mannered assistant, and Vic Vector, the janitor. Their lab had just blown up and Alexa asks the Royal Wandolier to find their test pilot, T.O.B.O.R. the robot. The Wandolier only finds his head, and he (or rather, his head) tells the Wandolier to find all of his other parts. After finding all 13 of T.O.B.O.R's other body parts around the island and reporting back to him, he will ask the Royal Wandolier to herd his legs over to him. T.O.B.O.R. fixes himself and promptly tells Dr. F he quits before storming off. Tired of being a lousy janitor, Vic volunteers to be the new test pilot, dreaming of flying to the stars. The Royal Wandolier now has three choices: help T.O.B.O.R with his dreams, rebuild Dr. F and Alexa's lab, or help Vic with his test pilot training. While helping Alexa and Dr. F with the lab, Alexa gives the Royal Wandolier a scroll to complete and use to rebuild the lab with science stuff. Inside the lab, the Wandolier then attaches tubes to the rocket fuels in place and hooks them up to some kind of machinery so they can calibrate it. Afterwards, Alexa and Dr. F will head to the training area and rocket launchpad and have the Wandolier hook up their computers. Alexa will also give the Royal Wandolier a scroll to help rebuild their rocket. While helping Vic with his training, he provides a scroll for gearboxes. After completing it, the Royal Wandolier hooks up his flight simulator and arcade machine to an electrical outlet. When helping T.O.B.O.R. fulfill his dream, he reveals he wants to own and operate his own diner. T.O.B.O.R. gives the Royal Wandolier another scroll for metal bridge parts, and after building a bridge across the gap to the lot, the Wandolier builds T.O.B.O.R. a diner. He then instructs the Wandolier to set up 3 bulletin boards around the island so he can advertise his business. Dr. F, Alexa, and Vic come to the diner to celebrate Vic's soon launch. However, after Dr. F implicates the possibility that Vic might blow up, the latter has second thoughts. The Wandolier must socialize with Vic in order to make him reconsider, and upon succeeding, he goes through with the mission. Vic lands successfully and says he took pictures of new islands. Rocket Reef's storyline is complete and Candypalooza and Forest of the Elves are available.

Conclusion[]
Vic thanks the Royal Wandolier for their help and was able to find some new islands for them to check out. He then asks the Wandolier to collect all the Figurine across the kingdom for him.

Trivia[]
- Rocket Reef is the second largest island in the Kingdom, behind Cowboy Junction.
- When Vic was in space, Alexa says that there is a giant orb floating in front of Vic, and brings him down. When Vic gets off the ship, he says the orb was an eye shooting lasers at him. This is most likely a reference to Plane Vs. Eye, the fictional video game in the original MySims. Some people even might think Vic was actually in the plane/rocket in Plane Vs. Eye, making him the star.
- The soundtrack for Buy Mode in The Sims 2: FreeTime was originally intended to be reused for the Launching Pad, but it was cut upon the final release of the game.
