Pawn is a Studious essence in MySims (Console/PC). They are found growing on trees in the Chess Cave in the Forest with Rooks. Shake the tree or fertilize the tree to obtain the essence. Pawns are all based on pieces of the board game, Chess, along with Knights and Rooks.

Trivia[]
- Despite not accessing Pawn trees until Star Level 4, the player can actually get them as early as Star Level 2 if they remove the counters, desk, or chair from a Studious Sim's home, such as Gordon. and remove the essence to plant them.
- The player can also access them in Star Level 3 by making it to the entrance of the Spooky Forest Cave and reaching the cursor to shake a tree and get the essence.
- Pawns can also be obtained from using a stage.
