Reception

The game received mixed reviews. Reviews for the DS version were generally more favorable[1], however the Wii received criticism on its waggle controls. IGN said, regarding the Wii version: "At best, the mini-games of MySims Party offer a simple diversion for kids. At worst, they are a mess of poorly-implemented waggle controls."[2] For the DS version, they claimed: "At best, the mini-games of MySims Party offer a simple diversion for kids. At worst, they are an uninspired cash-in trying to coast on Electronic Arts' MySims property."[3] They did, however, conclude each review by claiming it to be a fun collection of minigames, praising the art style, giving shout-outs to certain game features, and wishing EA would do more with the franchise.
