MySims Kingdom (DS) takes place on an island in King Roland's oceanic kingdom.
Plot[]
The adventure starts as King Roland is chatting with Ellen, the mayor of the island town. King Roland believes that the town is progressing well and that Ellen is doing an excellent job running as mayor. Ellen thanks King Roland, and then the player comes into the room. She greets the player and welcomes them back to town, after living in the island resort town. The player and King Roland greet each other.
After King Roland leaves, Ellen becomes frantic, as she can't find the player's house keys that had been given to her when the player went to the island resort town. Since Ellen can't find the keys, she gives the player a new key. Once the player finds their house, they go inside to go to sleep. In the middle of the night, Dr. Nefario, a man in black, is seen sucking everything from town using some kind of contraption, including buildings, flower beds, and everything that made the town prosper, before leaving in his UFO.
The next morning, Ellen is mortified and shocked at the sudden disappearance of everything that made up the town. Many of the residents have left the town, and many important structures (such as the gondola to travel up the mountains) are missing. Unfortunately, King Roland comes back and sees the mess. He demands Ellen to fix everything back up, who desperately asks the player for their help.
The player's adventure involves trying to get the island town back to its former glory, as well as finding the villain responsible for the crime. The player improves the town and gets it back up by playing minigames, such as Kayaking, Stargazing, and Balloon Present; and by placing decoratives around to make the town look lively and beautiful again. Meanwhile, as the player improve the towns, clues are revealed and scenes are unravelled in the story that will eventually lead to the identity of the criminal.
