Mel

Melthutamenemopet, more commonly known as Mel the Mummy, or simply Mel, is a mummy who constantly laughs at his own jokes. He is the Spooky Uber Sim, who visits the Town Hotel once the town reaches 100% Spooky, in hopes of settling down for his slumbering passover to the shadows of eternity…after causing some mischief, of course. Mel is also a minigame host and moves to Speedville to work for MorcuCorp.

Appearance

Mel has dark skin, circular eyes with no iris, and black hair. With the exception of his eyes, he is completely covered by white wrappings. If you change his hairstyle in Create-A-Sim, it is revealed that Mel has the same small smile with pink lipstick as Karine and Linda. This might have been done as comic relief for players who are curious to find what was under his wrappings, or he was simply given a random mouth.

• Mel is one of 4 deceased Sims in the MySims series, along with Cassandra, Cyrus Boudreaux, and Zombie Carl.
• Mel is one of 2 Uber Sims to appear in a Nintendo DS version of a MySims game, along with Star.
• Mel shares his interests with Blaine in MySims.
• In MySims, ​Mel just moans and grunts when he talks, whereas in MySims Party (Wii), ​he has Buddy's voice type in a lower pitch, and in the Switch version of MySims as part of the MySims: Cozy Bundle, he has Rosalyn P. Marshall's voice type in a very lower pitch.
• In MySims, Mel sometimes talks about cursing Buddy. This may be why he always falls over.
• Ironically, Mel complains about "Mummy-Mommy" puns in MySims, but his minigame in MySims Party, Where's My Mummy?, is a "Mummy-Mommy" pun.
• When people are mummified, their vital organs are removed, including the stomach. Since Mel is a mummy, he may have had his stomach removed, which may explain why he hates Tasty.
• When Mel says "A vampire came out", he could be talking about Blaine or Yuki.
• Mel is the only Uber Sim to not appear in MySims Agents.
• Mel is one of 4 Sims in MySims without a starting bed that does not request one. The others are Buddy, Makoto, and Rosalyn P. Marshall.
