For Proto-Makoto, see here.

Makoto is a highly advanced, artificial humanoid robot made by Dr. F. She is a potential resident and works in Speedville as an android mechanic. Makoto also hangs out at Club Candy in the Industrial District, and is a client turned potential recruit for the Sim Protection Agency. She is a robot disguised as a young Japanese schoolgirl and usually speaks in all capital letters.

Game roles[]

Appearance[]

Makoto has tan skin, black hair in a bob cut with bangs, closed eyes, and a smile with lipstick. In MySims and MySims Agents, she wears a black school girl uniform with a black handbag, light gray socks, and brown loafers. In MySims Racing, Makoto wears a light blue shirt, blue overalls, a yellow belt, and brown shoes.

Trivia[]

Development[]

  • Makoto may be a reference to HRP-4C, a Japanese humanoid robot depicting a young woman or teenager that can talk and dance, which may be why she hangs out at Club Candy.
  • Makoto's name means "truth" in Japanese, which is ironic considering she constantly lies to cover up the fact that she is a robot.
    • "Makoto" is typically a boy's name, although it is sometimes used for girls, too.

Dispatch Missions[]

  • In Makoto's first dispatch mission, High School Yearbook, she will ask if she could get more yearbook friends in the locker room or in the library.
    • If the player chooses the locker rooms, the negative outcome will have her end up in the boys' locker room.
    • The successful outcome has her enter the girls' locker room, where she gossips with the female students about boys and the upcoming prom, bringing her popularity up.
  • Makoto appears to fall in love with Travis if the player sends him on her second dispatch mission, Prom Date.
    • Makoto will also reveal T.O.B.O.R. is her cousin in the same dispatch mission.
  • If the player sends Makoto on Dr. F's second dispatch mission, F, Robot, she will ask the player if she should calm down the F-bot through showing him origami, or her yearbook photo.
    • If the player picks origami, the successful result has her befriending the robot with her origami snake collection, implying one of Makoto's hobbies is origami.
  • If the player sends Makoto on Poppy's dispatch mission, The Sadness Parade, she will reveal that Dr. F programmed her to have an irrational fear of parades.
  • If the player sends Makoto on Walker's second dispatch mission, MorcuCorp Stakeout, she will make a reference to Proto-Makoto.
  • If the player sends Makoto on Walker's fifth dispatch mission, One More Time, Makoto will reveal her biggest fear is that none of the information she is processing is real.

Inconsistencies[]

  • Makoto appears on the MySims (Wii/PC) cover with red hair, blue eyes, and darker skin.
    • However, she has her in-game appearance on the cover for Taco Bell's MySims (PC) promo.
  • Makoto seems like she would hate Geeky since she denies being a robot, but it is possible Dr. F programmed her to have the interests with which she is presented.
  • In the MySims Racing trailer, Makoto has a yellow car, but her car is pink in the game.
  • Makoto hangs out at Club Candy in MySims Agents. Coincidentally, Fun is her disliked interest in MySims.
    • Makoto will still hang out at Club Candy even if recruited as an agent.
  • In MySims Agents, Makoto actually knows she is a robot, as she willingly confesses to being one. This is different from all her previous appearances, where she is delusional and honestly believes she's a human.
  • Makoto makes a cameo at the end of MySims Racing after the Ultimate Cup in her original MySims outfit, instead of her MySims Racing outfit.

Statistics[]

Other[]

  • Makoto shares her interests with Elmira Clamp in MySims.
  • In MySims Racing, Makoto states her favorite color is a specific shade of purple with the hex code #371f68.
  • In MySims Agents, it is revealed that Makoto is hydrophobic because she is afraid of getting rusty.
  • Strangely enough, Makoto does not appear in MySims Kingdom (Console) as a student in The Royal Academy, since she is in high school and wears a uniform like the one Summer wears.
    • However, her prototype, Proto-Makoto, does appear in MySims Kingdom, albeit on a different island.
  • Makoto says, "DO YOU REQUIRE ME TO SIGN YOUR YEARBOOK?" when becoming her best friend in MySims, meaning the player and Makoto are probably both in high school, or she thinks the player is in high school.
