Garnet is a Cute jewel essence. They can be found by prospecting in the Desert. Garnets are one of six jewel essences for each interest in MySims (Console/PC), along with Amber, Amethyst, Jade, Sapphire, and Topaz.

Garnets are the only jewel essence that do not appear in MySims Kingdom (Console).
Like the other jewels, garnets are transparent and cannot be used to paint floors and walls in buildings.
- Garnets can be used to paint building blocks and give them a pink glass-like effect.
