Star is a Geeky essence in MySims found by prospecting in the Junkyard located in the Desert. However, you must begin your prospecting near the entrance to the Geeky Junkyard Cave, or you'll receive Globe and Pencil essences instead if you begin your prospecting near the entrance to the Junkyard that leads back to the Desert. Professor Nova can also occasionally give you stars if you be nice to her.
